Extrapulmonary tuberculosis: diagnostic features

Objective. To study demographic, clinical characteristics and concomitant pathology of patients with extrapulmonary tuberculosis (EPTB) in Gomel city region for the period 2017-2021. evaluate informative value different techniques detection Mycobacterium (MBT) non-respiratory samples diagnosis tuberculosis. Materials methods. A retrospective cases registered from 2017 to 2021 (308 patients) was carried out. The results microscopic, bacteriological molecular genetic methods respiratory relevant forms were analyzed. Results. Demographic EPTB 20172021 revealed. Concomitant analyzed, features diagnostics studied. It determined that is more susceptible males aged 31 50 years women over 60 years. frequently diagnosed urban areas when come medical institutions nonspecific complaints, except intrathoracic lymph node (ITLN). Conclusion. In structure EPTB, lesions bones joints (62.7%) nodes (19.5%) predominate. HIV-positive are common ITLN group. MBT most often detected following localizations process: peripheral nodes, pleural highly method examination biological nonrespiratory material localization study.
